We are John and Marry Brooks. For more than 40 years, we have shared not only our lives together, but also our passion for the outdoors. Hiking and climbing were always at the heart of who we are. But back then, we often struggled with the same problem: the shoes we wore simply didn’t measure up. Too heavy, too stiff, too short-lived. And yet, a good shoe makes all the difference, between freedom and discomfort.
That’s why we decided to do it differently. We began crafting our own shoes, shaped by our experience on trails and in the mountains. Handcrafted, durable, and with comfort at the core. What started as a solution for ourselves slowly grew into our life’s work: a small family business where thousands of walkers and adventurers have found their trusted pair over the years.
Every shoe that left our workshop carried not just our craftsmanship, but our story. From the first sketches at our kitchen table to the shelves of our store and later our webshop, we poured our hearts into every step of the journey.
But times have changed. In recent years, rising costs and growing international competition have made it impossible to continue producing our shoes in the way we believe in: with dedication, quality, and without compromise.
